REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Gareth Evans‘second Raid film, The Raid 2: Berandal, will be upon us faster than you can imagine. A teaser trailer for the martial arts movie which lasted one minute 19 seconds has been released and audiences were presented with amazing actions.
After months long shooting, the writer and director gives a little story about The Raid 2. Filming has already started since January 19, one of which took place at Fort Van Der Wijck, Gombong, Kebumen, Central Java.
Beside Indonesian public, the trailer also received positive responses from international public. Previously, the first 'The Raid' got attention of the world, including foreign media. As it is reported by Hollywood Reporter, one of popular medias in US, The Raid 2 presents actions that are much better than most Blockbuster films.
Hollywood Reporter writes that the film presents non-stop martial arts which make all bones move, punch in the face, throat is cut up and everybody's heart is beating. Slash film said that the film presented an entertaining nonstop action, while Empire Online said that the teaser really gave an overview about the existing riveting action in the film.
The Raid 2: Berandal will be release next year. Evans involves many famous Indonesian stars, such as Iko Uwais, Arifin Putra, Alex Abad, Oka Antara, Tio Pakusadewo, Julie Estelle, Cecelia Arif Rahman, Cok Simbara and Yayan Ruhian. The director also hooks three Japanese famous stars, Matsuda Ryuhei (Blue Spring, Nine Souls, Nightmare Detective), Endo Kenichi (a Takashi Miike regular) and Kazuki Kitamura to act as a gangster.
