Indonesia experiences a significant rise for apartment prices

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Indonesia experiences a significant rise for apartment prices and condominium properties in recent years, despite slowdown in global economic.

A number of large projects in Jakarta, such as apartment project of PT Astra International Tbk and PT Hong Kong Land will experience similar case, despite volatility in financial market and fluctuated IDR.

"Indonesia has experienced significant prices increases in apartment sector in the last five years," Head of Project Marketing Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) Indonesia, Luke Rowe said on Wednesday.

JLL Indonesia was appointed as exclusive marketing agent for both apartment projects, PT Astra International Tbk and PT Hong Kong Land. This project will be one of the highest profile project in Indonesia.

Head of Research in JLL Indonesia, Anton Sitorus explained that apartment sales in Jakarta were still high. This year, its sales are estimated more than 12 thousand units. During January to September 2013, condominium sales in Jakarta reached 11 thousand units. Supply of apartments in Jakarta is also estimated high in coming years.
