REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Visa launches a travel budget application for smart phone. Traveler can manage and monitor his or her travel budget with this software. President Director of PT Visa Worldwide Indonesia, Ellyana Fuad said that travel budget application aimed to help users to manage and control their spending by monitoring its progress.

"This application is equipped with Budget Health Meter which can compare travel budget with actual expenditure, so that users can keep calm and control their spending," Fuad said on Tuesday.

Based on Visa's new research, Indonesian people are very concerned about their travel budget. Therefore, this application can be a tool for those who want to plan and manage a vacation budget. To calculate the budget, this application provides many informations, such as transportation, affordable places to eat and kinds of activities during the tour.

This software can be downloaded by users from Apple, App Store in Android and also Google Pay. Fuad said that BlackBerry version would be available soon. This application is also part of financial literacy campaign which is conducted by Visa to help Indonesian people improving financial management capabilities.

Indonesia was ranked 27 out of 28 countries for global financial literacy in 2012. Fuad said that Visa committed to support programs that provided financial literacy education to Indonesian people about how to spend, save and create well budget.
