Garuda Indonesia's passenger delivers a baby in plane

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAMBI - A pregnant passenger of Garuda Indonesia delivered a baby in plane, during ther flight from Sumatra to Jakarta on Saturday, September 7, 2013. The flight then had to be delayed at Sultan Taha Airport in Jambi for two hours to complete birth process.

The unsual moment started when the plan was about to fly. Whole passengers were startled by a woman who cried and sat in back seat. 

"At that time, all passengers were already in plane and it was ready to fly to Jakarta. Pilots have turned on machine, but suddenly whole passengers were surprised by a crying woman, so our flight was delayed," a staff of House of Representatives, Nuzran Joher said recently.

All passengers were then busy looked for a doctor. Fortunately, there were two doctors in plane, namely Indrawati Sukandis and Donda Damanik. Both directly examined and helped that woman to deliver her baby in the aircraft.

A baby was finally born safely with normal process around 12.30 PM and brought sense of joy to all passengers who had been waiting anxiously. Mother and baby immediately received further health treatment. All passengers were happy that they could ecperience such unique even in their flight. They admitted that birth was occured in plane would bring blessing and good luck.
