Development of Sentani Airport reaches 60 percent

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Head of Daily Executive in Sentani Airport, Benyamin N Apituley said physical development of Sentani Airport in Jayapura, Papua had reached 60 percent. The runway project is still underway by extending it from 2,500 kilometers (km) to 3,000 km.

"This construction is expected to be completed in December 2013," Apituley said on Wednesday.

The development needs 40 billion IDR from 2013 state budget to add the runway path. While an new airbridge (aircraft passenger boarding bridge) project worth eight billion IDR is handled by PT Bukaka. Once the project completed Sentani airport will have three airbridges.
