PTPP gains new contract 9.5 trillion IDR

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - State owned company, PT Pembangunan Perumahan (PTPP) gained new contract worth  9.5 trillion IDR until June 2013 or has reached 50 percent of company's target this year.

"New contracts grow 2.5 times compared to same period last year," Corporate Secretary of PTPP, Betty Ariana said on Saturday.

Several new projects are Port of Bandar Samudra in Cilegon, Cikampek-Palimanan toll road, Tunjungan Plaza V of Surabaya, Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) project of Tanjung Uncang gas powerplant with a capacity of 120 mega watt, Bangkanai gas fired power plant, and CNG plant of Muara Tawar. PTPP also obtained new contract for overseas projects, such as Gleno road in Tibar in East Timor worth 246 billion IDR.

Ariana added acquisition of all new contracts until June made company's order book reached 2.3 trillion IDR. The company targetted sales of 10.2 trillion IDR, while net profit would reach 370 billion IDR or increased 19.5 percent than last year. 

Net profit is contributed by five business areas, namely construction, EPC, investment, production of precast concrete and property. PTPP will start to develop property sector in late of 2013 in company's landbank. The plan is development of multi purposes building in an area of four hectares in Surabaya (East Java) and 20 hectares in Jakarta. The property sector is targetted for middle class market.
