REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Advocacy Network for the Revision of the Law on the Placement and Protection of Overseas Migrant Workers (JARI-PPTKLN) concerns abut slow efforts of Indonesian government  to rescue two Indonesian migrant workers facing death sentence by hanging in Malaysia. The case has been reported by media since October 2012.

"It's very urgent. Government is too slow to rescue both migrant workers from Pontianak (West Kalimantan), Frans Hiu and Dharry Frully. They are facing death penalty by hanging in Malaysia," Coordinator of JARI-PPTKLN, Nurus S Mufidah on Saturday.

Hiu and Frully sentenced to death by the High Court of Shah Alam in Selangor, Malaysia on October 18, 2012. Their case was began when they attempted to defend themselves when a burglary occured. Unexpectedly the trial charged them with murder.

Pengadila Banding Rayuan as the Malaysian appeal court has rejected the brothers' appeal. Efforts by families and provincial government of West Kalimantan has born no fruit.
