REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Ministry of Trade revoked the business license of 44 horticultural importers who violated the rules and had been shown not to meet the requirements. Director General of Foreign Trade at Ministry of Trade Bachrul Chairi said in Jakarta on Saturday.
Chairi explained several reasons, such as not having an office, could not prove the importation of support facilities, such as warehouse and transportation availibility. The importers also didn't able to show evidence of cooperation with distributors.
"Ministry had commissioned an independent third party to conduct the survey and ensured that their licenses should be revoked," Chiri said.
There were as many as 126 horticultural importers that were legal, 90 of them have met administration but could not show the original files. Chairi said government still gave opportunity for 90 companies to provide clarification up to four days ahead.
