Lufthansa opens direct flights to five Indonesian cities

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA – Lufthansa opened direct flights Europe-Indonesia. The European company will serve flights to five citiesin Indonesia,  namely Surabaya (East Java), Semarang (Central Java), Denpasar (Bali), Medan (North Sumatra), Balikpapan (East Kalimantan). 

"We are not only competitive in service but also competitive in prices and the fastest flight time," said Lufthansa's Country Manager for Indonesia , Leo Tonidandel on Thursday.

All travel destinations to Europe from Indonesia will first transit in Singapore or Bangkok, Thailand, based on voting result by consumers. Consumers who are already book for flight, can adjust their long transit.

Tonidandel assured  the flight time of passengers who used Lufthansa definitely faster than any other airlines. He added to serve consumers who traveled to Singapore and Bangkok, Lufthansa had teamed up with four airlines, Garuda Indonesia, Singapore Airlines, Thai Airways and Jet Star. 

From Singapore, Lufthansa prepared daily flights with two airline, Lufthansa Airbus A380 to Frankfrut and Swiss Airbus A340-300 to Zurich.
