PT Pos Indonesia and Circle-K open a postshop in Bali

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, DENPASAR - A state-owned company providing postal service in Indonesia, PT Pos Indonesia, and Circle-K opened 'postshop' to facilitate public postal and telecommunication services for 24 hours. President Director of Post Indonesia, Ketut Mardjana said postshop was part of retail business to boost productivity of asset in PT Pos Indonesia. 

"We also open other shops in Bandung and Yogyakarta," he said during the opening ceremony on Friday.

The strategic partnership between both companies is expected to create business synergies that can provide added value for consumers. Postshop run like modern convenient store as a one stop shopping service with attractive appearance using bright orange color to represent the character of PT Pos Indonesia.  

Until April 2013, postshop has opened in 22 locations around the post office and it would be gradually added about 400 to 500 outlets by year end. Currently, there are about 3,900 post offices in the country and 2,200 of them could be used as postshops.

Circle-K as an international chain of convenience stores, has 450 stores spread in Bandung, Jakarta, Surabaya, Bali, Yogyakarta and Batam.  "There were about 150 stores in Bali," he said then added that in the near future Circle-K would build 40 new stores.
