If you happen to visit Solo, then do not miss the opportunity to visit a museum inside Solo Sultanate Palace. The ticket costs 10 thousand IDR.

In the first room, you will find varieties of sharp weapons such as swords, shields, spears, and keris (Javanese traditional dagger).

In the second room, you will find traditional means of transportation such as carriages in many types. Each has unique name such as joli jempono (carriage to brings a princess or a bride), kremun (to carry equipments from and to the palace), or jolen (to bring ritual offerings and sacred objects in ceremonies). There are also other heirlooms tosan aji (a wide  umbrella), European carriage made in 1770. All of them can bring you back to past.

In northern side of the palace, a room displays some royal carriages and antique cars. If you want to take picture there, you will be charged 3000 IDR.

"Each carriage is pulled by four horses," a tour guide, Agus Pramono, said.

Three antique cars are parked at the east side of the museum. They once belonged to King Pakubuwono XII. One of car is an American made, Crysales, made in 1941. Well, enjoy a piece of the history in Solo Sulatane Palace Museum!
