One killed and 17 buried in landslides in West Java

Some residents help search and rescue team to find the burried victims in Ciliin Bandung, West Java, on March 25.

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BANDUNG - A man was reported killed and 17 others, buried in a landslide, were feared dead in the regency of Bandung Barat, West Java on Monday. 

"I received report that incident took place on Monday morning in the village of Nagrog, sub-district of Cililin," head of the West Java Natural Disaster Control Agency Udjawala Pranasigit said via telephone.

Udjawala, who was on his way to the Nagrog, said he had yet to confirm the report when he arrived in the location.  "I am on my way there. I am several kilometers away from the locations," he said.
