Transaero, the first airplane landed in Bali after Seclusion Day

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, DENPASAR - Russian airline, Transaero, is the first airplane landed in Ngurah Rai International Airport, Bali, after Seclusion Day. Ngurah Rai is the only one airport that is closed for 24 hours during Seclusion Day when the Hindus remain silent in their house.

Transaero which transports tourists from Domadedovo Airport in Moscow, Russia, landed in Bali on Wednesday at 08.33, two and a half hours after the airport is opened.

Meanwhile, Air Asia became the first international airplane leaving Ngurah Rai for Perth, Australia, in Wednesday. The plane took off at 09.09. Lion Air is the first domestic airplance leaving Ngurah Rai Airport for Jakarta at 08.29.

Ngurah Rai Airport is shut for 24 hours from Tuesday at 06.00 to Wednesday at 06.00. The closure is aimed to respect Hindu, the majority of religion, in Bali.

At least 334 flights, consist of 226 domestic flights and 108 international flights, were cancelled during Seclusion Day. Ports were also closed during the day.
