REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Indonesian Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Mari Elka Pangestu, promotes Indonesia in the biggest international tourism fair, Internationale Tourismus Bourse (ITB) in Berlin, Germany, in March 6-10.

"Our motto is 'Wonderful Indonesia where the Heart Matters'," Pangestu said during opening speech of ITB on Thursday.

She said that the real attraction of Indonesia was the harmony of people who lived in Indonesia with their distinct cultures and traditions. The harmony among people, nature, and other aspects is beautiful.

Indonesia has eight cultural heritages recognized by UNESCO, including one of the biggest temple, Borobudur. Indonesia also has the second largest natural diversity in the world.

Indonesia becomes the official partner of ITB. Pangestu said industrial performers, such as hotel and restaurant, travel agents, and local administrations would promote Indonesia.

Last year, investment in tourism in Indonesia increased to 200 percent. International tourists visits also rose 5.16 percent to 8.04 million people.
