Bali offers Seclusion Day package tour

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, DENPASAR - Bali hotels offer Seclusion Day package tour for non-Hindu domestic and foreign tourists who plan to spend their vacation in Bali. The tourists can still enjoy Bali despite during the Seclusion Day, when Hindus must observe it as the day of contemplation.

"Bali is known for tourist destination, then it should open up to any tourist, including during Seclusion Day," the Head of Hindu Dharma Indonesia (PHDI), I Made Raka Santri, said on Sunday. He added that the tourists could enjoy the comfort and silence during the day.

However, he said that every tourist and non-Hindu should support the Hindu conducting the Contemplation Day. Public Relations of Bali Provincial Government, I Ketut Teneng, said the governor reminded travel agents and tour operator to sell the package carefully. They should explain the meaning of Seclusion Day to every tourist to prevent misunderstanding.
