REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - American multinational corporation, General Electric (GE), will invest in Indonesia worth 300 million USD to develop the country's infrastructure.
Chairman and CEO of GE, Jeff Immelts, said that Indonesian economy had grown and he predicted that Indonesian Gross Domestic Income could reach six percent.
"We see an opportunity to support infrastructural technology in energy," Immelts said on Tuesday.
GE also support the development of health sector and human resource capacity building in Indonesia. The company also announced that it would cooperate with three state-owned companies; State electricity (PLN), Pertamina and Garuda Indonesia, to develop GE Learning and Technology Center, providing a technically advanced technology and learning center.
"The investment and partnership plan show our commitment to grow with our customers," CEO of GE Indonesia, Handry Satriago, said.
