Indonesia to open an international steel exhibition

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Indonesia will open an international steel exhibition on February 20-23 in Jakarta International Expo Kemayoran. Attended by 260 metal industries from 22 countries, Indometal 2013 will introduce the latest technology, products and metal solution.

"Indometal reflects the demand on new technology to produce more efficient goods at lower cost," The Head of Exhibition Board, Sofianto Widjaja, said on Tuesday. Two of the events in the exhibition are seminar and panel discussion on the potency of steel and metal industries in Indonesia.

Widjaja said the leading supplier of metal cutting machine, wrought iron and metallurgical laboratory would be exhibited at the event. Technical and Commercial Director of Pert Srl, Matteo Tomba, who has confirmed his participation ta the event,, said that innovation and technology were important for steel industry development.
