REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Ambassador of South Korea, Kim Yeong Seon, visited Provincial Government of Jakarta on Friday to talk on normalization project of Ciliwung River, Jakarta. South Korea is still preparing the design for the project.

"The design will be done by the end of July. The project will be started from Istiqlal Mosque to Pasar Baru," Seon said on Friday. Soon after the design is done, South Korea and Jakarta Provincial Government will decide on technology.

Seon explained the normalization included waste water treatment and the building of jogging track. Once the project completed, Ciliwung River is expected to attract more than 20 million tourists. "Hopefully the project can be done in 2014," he said.
