REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - An American multinational corporation, Apple Inc, will build a distribution store in Indonesia once the investment permit issued. Chairman of Indonesia Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM), Chatib Basri, mentioned that some more foreign companies committed to invest in Indonesia.

"Apple Inc has opened an online store in Indonesia, then the company will open an official dealer," Basri said on Tuesday.

Apple's investment is in line with investment plan of Taiwan's Foxconn Technology Group, the assembly company of Apple Inc. Deputy of BKPM investment supervision and implementation, Azhar Lubis, said the Apple's investment was relatively small, which was three million USD. "We have issued the permit last year," he said.

Recently Singapore is the supplier of Appel products sold in Indonesia. By opening distribution store in Indonesia, Apple claims that its products sold here will be cheaper.
