REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BOGOR - Mekarsari Tourism Park in Cileungsi, Bogor, opens Water Kingdom Mekarsari, claimed to be the biggest waterpark in Asia.
"Water Kingdom Mekarsari has 5.2 hectare area. It is connected to a lake as huga as 27 hectare," Operational Director of Water Kingdom Mekarsari, Raditya G Wardhanam said on Wednesday during the launching.
He explained that the waterpark could accommodate up to 15,000 people a day. It has 12 water attractions including eight pools, four slides and a water sports.
The park offers 600-meter lazy river, the longest wave pool in Indonesia. There is also Boomerang Slides sending riders down 15.8 meters.
The park has several supported facilities to spoil visitors, such as food court, coffee shop, juice corner, and two pool-side bars. The waterpark was officially opened at 12 December 2012 at 12.00.
