REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, VIENTIANNE - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) is attending the 9th Asia Europe Meeting (ASEM) in National Convention Center, Laos, where he will be in the country for three days. On Sunday afternoon, SBY met President of Laos Choummaly Sayasono in Ho Kham Palace.

The meeting was closed by perceiving the signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on joint activity to improve communication and bilateral consultation. The signing was conducted by Minister of Foreign Affairs Marty Natalegawa and his counterpart Thongloun Sisoulith.

SBY and the first Lady Ani Yudhoyono arrived in Laos in Sunday, November 4, as reported by Esthi Maharani from Republika. He was welcomed by Indonesian Ambassador to Laos, Kria Fahmi Pasaribu. From the airport, the President went directly to ASEM Villas in Don Chan Island. SBY is accompanied by Minister for Foreign Affairs Marty Natalegawa, Minister Secretary of State Sudi Sulalahi, Minister of Industry MS Hidayat, Minister of Trade Gita Wirjawan, and Minister of Tourism and Economic Creative Marie Elka Pangestu.
