REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, KUWAIT CITY - Indonesian position in Asian Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) Summit was considered important to enhance cooperation between Asia and Middle East, Coordinating Minister of Economy Hatta Rajasa said on Tuesday.

ACD is not an institutional forum, but the cooperation is important for Indonesia amid the current global situation. Indonesia currently has cooperated in 20 projects in ACD, ranging from investment, infrastructure, manufacture, connectivity, and energy.

Minister said that Indonesia would focus on institutional cooperation and Asian trade in this forum. Indonesia will also boost bilateral cooperation with Kuwait.

"We will try to increase Kuwait import from Indonesia without third party," he said as reported by Nur Hasan Murtiaji from Republika.

Rajasa said the potency of cooperation was big as Kuwait managed 200 billion USD through sovereign wealth fund (SWH). Indonesia expects the funds in SWH Kuwait are used for the projects of new ports and special economic region.

Kuwait has interested in energy projects in Indonesia. One of the projects is building a refinery in Balongan. The project currently is in joint study process.
