REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, CILACAP - Convicted terrorist, Abu Bakar Ba’asyir, was moved to high-security prison in Nusakambangan Island on Saturday morning. The Chief of Batu Penitentiary, Hermawan Yunianto, said Ba’asyir would not be in the same cell with other Bali bombers-Amrozi, Imam Samudera and Mukhlas.

"He is imprisoned with three aging convicts," he said.

Baasyir's transferring process ran smoothly. Ba’ashir arrived at Wijayapura Port in Cilacap at about 8.40 am on Saturday, with a heavy security presence in tow. The port was guarded by heavily armed officers.

The presence of Ba’asyir brings the total number of convicted terrorist to eight. Ba’asyir is placed in Batu, another in Kembang Kuning, while the rest are in Pasir Putih Penitentiary.
