REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, TANGERANG - The Management of Soekarno Hatta Airport equips the airport with special security cameras to prevent terrorism and other crimes. The installation is to enhance the 750 closed circuit television (CCTV) set up in the airport.

The Corporate Secretary of PT Angkasa Pura II, Trisno Heryadi, said the cameras were installed in several vital points, such as control tower, fuel tanks, and other vital objects in the airport.

"The type camera has special ability to approach and follow the suspicious target," Heryadi said on Sunday. Apart from the installation of camera, the management also cooperates with Densus 88, Brimob, and Police of Soekarno Hatta Airport to maintain the security.

The Chief Operation of Soekarno Hatta Airport Police Department, Udik Tanang, said the special security camera helped securing the airport. One of the obstacles is the vast area of the airport. The officers usually comb every inch in airport using golf car. Terminal I and II become their first priority.
