REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - The investigation over Sukhoi Superjet 100 (SSJ-100) crash on last May is due to finish on October. "Joint commission team is still investigating the cause of the crash. We hope the result will come out on October," the Counselor of Russian Embassy to Indonesia, Sergey Tolchenov, said on Tuesday.
The plane crashed on 9 May during a demonstration flight for potential Indonesian buyers. The plane, carrying 45 passengers, lost contact with traffic management right after Pilot Aleksandr Yablontsev asked for permission to go down to 1,800 meter.
But, Russia is still expecting the potential buyers of SSJ-100. "Soon after the result come out, we hope the negotiation can be conducted," he said.
