REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BANDARLAMPUNG – An earthquake of 5.2 Scale Richter struck Bantul, Yogyakarta, on Wednesday. Agency for Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics (BMKG) announces that the earthquake occurred at 17.59 in Western Indonesia Time.

The Head of Geophysics Station in Kotabumi, Chrismanto, said the earthquake was in coordinate 11.61 degree of Southern Latitude and 109.45 degree of East Longitude with the epicenter on 29 km. BMKG emphasizes that the earthquake would not lead to tsunami.
