REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Managing Director of World Bank, Sri Mulyani, met President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono on Friday and discussed on infrastructure, food security, and anticipating global cirisis. Before meeting SBY, Sri Mulyani attended South-South Conference in Bali.

"Indonesia needs a support of financing infrastructure," the Presidential Staff for Economy, Firmansyah, said on Friday.

Sri Mulyani has also met the economic team on second Indonesian United Cabinet, including the Coordinating Minister of Economy Hatta Rajasa. They discussed on Indonesian policy to control the impact of European crisis. "The talks with the World Bank are also in food sector and (economic) anticipation in case of emergency," Rajasa said on Friday. 

Rajasa explained, World bank committed to provide contingency fund in case of emergency. “The amount of 2 million USD is not loan, but contingency fund. And we call it as a 'shield'," he said. 

In total, the government has 5 billion USD of shield fund with two million USD comes from the World Bank. And the rest comes from Asian Development Bank (500 million USD), Australia (1 billion USD), with Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) has committed to pour 1,5 billion USD. 

Indonesian government has offered three projects to the World Bank, namely in infrastructure, financial inclusion, and new scheme of mega infrastructure finance. The similar talk on infrastructure financing was also delivered to Managing Director of IMF Christine Lagarde and German's Counsellor Angela Merkel.
