REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Pertamina supports government program on energy saving by introducing green product. "We support Green Product by implementing the policy in some programs to promote energy saving," the Director of PT Pertamina, Karen Agustiawan, said on Friday.
Under green product policy, Pertamina will switch freon to frezon and develop solar lamp. On carbon fuel, Pertamina bans government's cars to use subsidized fuel.
In addition, Pertamina will switch off the light in its offices starting from 0500 pm. The lamp will only be used in urgent circumstances.
The energy saving program is a measure to save its supply for the future, Karen said. Thus, Pertamina will take some aggressive measures to optimize domestic oil and gas sectors and expanding the supply from abroad.
"We are seeking for the future oil supply," Karen added.
