REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - After government granted its license, PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (Antam) will export nickel ore on the next three months. The export license is granted every three months by the government.

"We will export 2.275 million wet metric ton (wmt)," the Executive Director of Antam, Alwinsyah Lubis, said on Tuesday.

This state-owned mining has exported 2.34 wmt nickel ore by the end of April 2012. The new shipping is due three months later with Japan, China, and Europe as its buyer.

Also, Antam has exported 31,402 wmt bauxite ore and will export another 50,000 wmt on the next three months with Japan and China as its destination.

Antam kept negotiating with the consumers regarding the export duty as it was burdened to the buyers, Alwinsyah said. Government charges export duty of 65 mineral raw materials of 20 percent by average.
