REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA – Three bodies of Indonesian workers who shot dead in Malaysia are autopsied in Nusa Tenggara Barat (NTB) as the families feared of organ theft. Indonesian National Police Spokesman, Boy Rafli Amar, said police kept coordinating and prepared a team to investigate the case.

“The result will come in one or two days. We will wait for the development until tomorrow (Thursday –Ed),” Boy said.

He said, should the result find that their organ was lost, Indonesian police would coordinate with Malaysian police to investigate the case. Meanwhile, NTB Police Department is investigating Hirman (28 years), the key witness of the case. He saw the condition of the bodies before it was buried.

“His statement will be related to autopsy result,” the Spokesman of NTB Police Department, Lalu Wirajaya, said.

The parents of three Indonesian workers hope the perpetrator to be punished according to the criminal law. “If our children were shot, the perpetrator should have been punished,” Maksum, father of a victim named Herman, said. They also hope Indonesian government show its seriousness to urge Malaysian government enforce the law by judging the perpetrator. Deputy of Indonesian Attorney General, Darmono, said that he would bring the case when he met Malaysian Attorney General, Tan Sri Abdul Gani Patail, on May 2012.
