REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, RIYADH – Indonesia will offer investment in geothermal during the 3rd G20 Speakers’ Consultation Meeting in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, as reported by journalist of Republika, Didi Purwadi, from Saudi. A member on Indonesian parliament delegation, Nazarudin Kiemas, says on Saturday, Indonesia has a great potency of geothermal.
“We have the big potential of renewable energy, especially geothermal,” Kiemas said aside from the discussion session. Indonesian volcanoes are the rich sources of geothermal energy. About 40 percent of world geothermal is in Indonesia.
Indonesia delegation also discusses the Iranian oil issue during the G-20 session. Kiemas said the closing of Hormuz Strait due to Iranian oil conflict could impacts on the world economy.
“The world will collapse, not only America,” he said. “We hope America can think of other persuasive ways toward Iranian nuclear,” he added.
