REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono postponed a cabinet session on agrarian policy indefinitely, presidential spokesman Julian Aldrin Pasha said in Jakarta on Thursday. Pasha said, the cabinet session on agrarian policy and the Master Plan on Accelerated Poverty Eradication in Indonesia (MP3KI) was supposed to be held on Thursday.
"Since more inputs are still required for a more comprehensive agrarian policy, in addition to the preparation for the MP3KI, the cabinet session has been postponed by the president," Julian said, adding that the president`s agenda was an internal matter and closed for the media.
According to Julian, the head of state was scheduled to chair a meeting at Bogor Palace on Friday but it was also an internal one and not for media coverage. But the presidential spokesman did not explain in detail the president`s agenda at Bogor Palace and said that the president would be at the palace until Saturday. Julian said President Yudhoyono would also leave for Palembang, South Sumatra, on Monday morning, January 30 for a working visit and return to Jakarta in the afternoon.
