REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) told a number of female students that he played the game "Mobile Legend." He made the confession when delivering his scientific oration at the Lustrum XIII Indonesian Christian University (UKI),
"I always wanted to learn. I asked my children about the 'Mobile Legend game' as well as 'E-sport.' I try what I want to play," Jokowi stated in Jakarta on Monday.
The president conveyed the innovations related to businesses that use digital science technology during the industrial revolution 4.0.
He also spoke about Jess No Limit, the world champion Mobile Legend game, which was able to reap revenues of up to hundreds of millions of rupiah. Jokowi explained that new professions emerged when digital technology continued to develop.

The president also told of his experience while visiting Silicon Valley, Google's headquarters in the United States. He was introduced to a number of digital technologies that are being developed.
"I use big glasses, Oculus, to play ping pong. Playing ping pong is not using a table or using a ball," Jokowi explained while speaking about the VR technology he was wearing.
According to the president, a number of these changes in development need to be anticipated by universities as a place to develop science, culture, and technology. "The changes will later lead to bigger changes to the landscape of everyday life. The socio-cultural landscape, the political landscape, both at national and global levels, and the economic landscape will change. So this college must also adjust," the president stated.
The Head of State assessed that the university's research agenda must be responsive to the changes and opportunities that exist. Jokowi added that the study programs and faculties in universities must develop their direction and focus on Indonesia's superior products, such as superior plantation commodities and cultural and tourism products.
In the speech, Jokowi also mentioned that human resources will be the focus of government development after infrastructure development in the future.
