REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- A food truck is being operated to serve breakfast for tourists staying at the West Nusa Tenggara Tourism Offices. The assistance was given after an earthquake hit Lombok on Sunday (Aug 5).

"The truck operates from 8 a.m. local time in the foyer of the West Nusa Tenggara Tourism Offices and provides breakfast for tourists staying there," Head of the Lombok Crisis Center Team Guntur Sakti, who is also the head of the Tourism Ministry's Public Communication Bureau, said in a statement received in Jakarta on Tuesday.

The food truck provides a variety of light bites, including cake slices, bread, biscuits, instant noodles, as well as drinks such as coffee and tea. It was given free of cost to the tourists.

He also revealed that most tourists hope to be able to leave the island as soon as possible, and the Ministry was making serious efforts to facilitate them, which include providing buses to mobilize them out of Lombok.

"The first bus came in at 10:06 a.m. local time and the second one, which took tourists from the Bangsal harbor, has entered the post in the Tourism Office. The team will soon recap the data," he noted.

After doing registrations and enjoying snacks, at 10:27 a.m. local time, the tourists prepared to head to Lembar harbor. At exactly 11 a.m., a bus full of tourists left for Lombok Praya Airport.

"The team at the West Nusa Tenggara Tourism Office post will distribute blankets, power cords, instant noodle packets, mineral water, mosquito repellents, as well as other amenities for the tourists who are still staying at the Office grounds tonight," he concluded.
