REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Former House of Representatives (DPR) speaker, Setya Novanto said based on Andi Agustinus alias Andi Narogong information, Ganjar Pranowo has earned 500,000 US dollar related to e-ID card project. At that time, Ganjar served as deputy chairman of Commission II House of Representatives.

"When Andi came to my house, he said that he had provided financial aid to friends in Commission II and Budget Agency (Banggar), also for Mr Ganjar in September, as many as 500,000 US dollars," said Novanto in a trial at Jakarta Corruption Court on Thursday (Feb 8).

Novanto conveyed the statement related to his meeting with Ganjar at Ngurah Rai International Airport Bali, around 2011-2012. In the meeting, he said 'do not be fierce' and 'what it's done?' related to e-ID card project, which the budget was being discussed in Commission II.

He explained the meeting with Ganjar did not take long time. Novanto said former chairman of PDIP faction at Commission II House of Representatives, Mustoko Weni and former member of Commission II from Democratic Party faction, Ignatius Mulyono had told him the money from Andi would be distributed to Commission II and Banggar and Ganjar's name was mentioned.

"Also, Mrs Miryam said the same thing, so I became curious and asked Mr Ganjar and he said all the business is known by Mr Chairuman," Novanto added.

Chairuman Harahap is chairman of Commission II House of Representatives from Golkar Party faction. However, Ganjar denied about the money that Novanto's said has been given.

"I must clarify this. First, Mustoko once promised to give me the money and I rejected it directly," said Ganjar.

Ganjar also asserted that he never received money from Andi Narogong, as Novanto's stated. He said Andi Narogong in his testimony said never gave money to him.

As the defendant in e-ID card graft case, Novanto allegedly has intervened directly or indirectly in budgeting and procurement of goods and services in e-ID project in 2011 until 2013. The abuse of authority was done by him to benefit himself and enrich others and corporations.

He believed received 7,3 million US dollars from former director of PT Murakabi and also his nephew Irvanto Hendra Pambudi Cahyo. Novanto also received a RichardMille watch for 135,000 US dollars from businessman Andi Agustinus and and PT Biomorf Lone Indonesia Director Johannes Marliem, as part of the compensation because Novanto had helped to smoothen the budgeting process.
