No religion including Islam justifies murder of innocent people

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- General chairman of the Central Board of Muhammadiyah Youth Dahnil Anzar Simanjuntak said ISIS claiming to be behind the terror bombing in Paris was an attempt to link Islam with terrorism.

"No religion including Islam tells its followers to kill innocent people. Linking Islam with terrorism is not right," Dahnil said here on Monday.

He said whatever the reason , terrorism could not be justified. However, there are facts that group of people "hijack Islam to commit terror in the name of religion."

"With the fact , it is difficult not to link conspiracy of states or certain groups with the terror attacks in Paris, Syria , etc." he said.

He said evil conspiracy to 'hijack Islam and commit terrorism is an extraordinary crime against humanism.

It is time for the whole world to unite to prevent similar incident without blaming certain groups, especially Islam, he said.

He said the central board of the Muhammadiyah Youth organization expressed sympathy with the victims of the terror attacks that left at least 129 people dead and more than 350 others injured.
