REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- It has been 100 days since Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan and Deputy Governor Sandiaga Uno lead Jakarta. They were inaugurated on October 16, 2017. During the campaign period, they offered at least 23 programs to the Jakartans.

One by one, their campaign promises started to realize. Not all parties satisfied with Anies-Sandi new policies. Debate surged, for example, related to the way they organized street hawkers (PKL) at Tanah Abang market in Central Jakarta. The policy was considered to violate Law No. 38/2004 on Street.

Anies responded the criticism calmly. He said Jakarta provincial's land can be used for malls, even the land which belongs to the state. "Then, why do so, when small people want to use the land, many parties always start to protest? To whom we all take side with?" said Anies on Thursday (January 25).

Anies asserted that he always support small people. He said will look for the ways to make government's assets used for small people. Apart of the critics, his administration also gained credit.

Meanwhile, Sandiaga said he did not want to feel satisfied and become arrogant. He admitted there are many things to be accomplished and now, in his 100 days as deputy governor, still not done yet.

"We still have many home works. There is no achievement yet," said Sandiaga.

Jakarta's problems are increasingly complex day by day, Sandiaga remarked. He assessed it is not time to patted the chest. However, he did not want his administration to be valued only in 100 days.

"We must focus on many sectors, such as work field, economy, and education," Sandiaga added.
