Canadian investors eyes on North Kalimantan

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, NUNUKAN -- Canadian investors are keen to invest in the oil and gas sector as well as in a hydropower plant in North Kalimantan Province.

The interests were conveyed during a visit of a Canadian business delegation recently, Dian MJJ Mulyadi, head of the North Kalimantan investment office, stated here, Monday.

The Canadian delegation comprised representatives from the oil and gas company Alberta, Katch Kan, Transcanada Turbines, and Zedi, among others.

"Basically, the Canadian investors are interested in investing in North Kalimantan, particularly in a hydropower plant on the Kayan River, and in oil and gas resources," he remarked.
