Jokowi attends tea time with King Salman

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) has arrived at the Raffles Hotel in Setiabudi, Jakarta. He attends tea time and discussions with a number of religious leaders in Indonesia together with King of Saudi Arabia King Salman Bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud.

President Jokowi and Presidential Guard (Paspampres) vehicles enter Raffles Hotel at around 01.45 pm. Discussions was scheduled and began at 02.15 pm. The event was closed to the media.

A number of government officials entered the Raffles Hotel before Jokowi came, they are Coordinating Minister of Human Development and Culture Puan Maharani, Foreign Affairs Minister Retno Marsudi, and the Minister of Religious Affairs Lukman Hakim Saifuddin.

According to the Head of Press, Media, and Information Bureau of Presidential Secretariat Bey Machmudin, Retno Marsudi will give a press conference related to the discussion of interfaith leaders at the Palapa Lounge, the Foreign Affairs Ministry Office at 3.00 pm.

Previously, the King Salman on Thursday (March 2), had discussions with Indonesian Islamic leaders at Merdeka Palace, Jakarta. They talked about the promotion of peace.

King Salman along with President Jokowi and Muslim leaders also discussed how to strengthen good relationship. They also discussed Hajj issue in order to improve its quality and quota.
