REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Judges of Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok)’s case in North Jakarta District Court asked two members of Bogor Police due to the inconsistency of the data found in the reporting documents made by Abdul Rashid Willyudin Dhani. He was disputed because of errors in the writing of the time and place of the incident.
Two members of Bogor Police who became the witnesses in the trial were Bripka Hermawan and Brigadier General Ahmad Hamdani. The judges asked them about the report.
Hamdani explained Willyudin came to the police office with four colleagues. They wanted to make a report due to Ahok’s speech in the Seribu Island. Based on Willyudin’s statement, Hamdani said that the complainants saw the video at Wilyudin’s house.
"Why do not you suggest them to report to the police station in Seribu Island and decide to receive the report?" the judge asked. Hamdani claimed he could not refuse any reports received from the citizens, so that he processed it.
As information, it was stated in the police investigation report (BAP) that the incident of the blasphemy occurred on September 6, 2016, with the locus de licti (scene location) in Tegallega, Bogor. The statement was questioned by the legal team of Ahok.
Hamdani revealed he did not know exactly, in what date Ahok delivered his speech at the Seribu Island. He just followed or wrote what the complainant said. "Who mentioned the date and the day?" the judge asked.
"The complainant," Hamdani answered.
Hamdani also said that Wilyudin have read and signed the report.
On the same day, the judges also called Willyudin as the complainant witness. He denied the testimony from Ahmad Hamdani. He said that Hamdani has given false information to the judge. Brigadier Ahmad considered giving false information to the judge.
He said most of the information revealed by Hamdani was not true. He claimed that he came to the police with a friend. “It is not possible to come there with four friends, because I go there by motorcycle, '' said Willyudin to the judges in the auditorium of the Ministry of Agriculture in Jakarta on Tuesday (January 17).
He also denied the information that the report was made on September 6. He said that it was the mistake of the police.
''He (the police) did not explain, when he asked about when the incident happened, I replied, the speech was conducted on the Seribu Island on September 27, 2016. I explained. So, I was asked first, and then I asked back, which incidents? The blasphemy was happen in Seribu Island on September 27. And then I saw the video in my house on Thursday, October 6, 2016 at 11:00 am,'' he said.
Willyudin was directed by the police to enter a room. Initially, he said, the report was not accepted because the incident was happened in the Seribu Island. "Then I was taken to the Criminal Unit (Reskrim), I said if the report is not accepted, there is the possibility of Muslims to come here, because this is the mandate of the congregation to make report,'' said Willyudin.
He claimed that he understood why his report was not accepted. However, the most important thing for him was that he already made the report. After receiving the letter, he said, there was an error typing which said that the incident was happened on September 6.
"I scratch the (phrase) ‘September 6’. How could this happen, the incident was just happened and then it is written as September 6. It was printed again, but a little long time. In fact, I saw in the monitor, it was true, October 6,'' he explained.
