REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- 'Ayat-Ayat Cinta 2' novel was officially launched by Republika Publisher. Chief Editor of Republika Publisher, Syahruddin El-FIkri, said 'Ayat-Ayat Cinta 2' novel was long awaited by fans of the author, Habiburrahman El-Shirazy a.k.a Kang Abik.
"It's been 10 years since 'Ayat-Ayat Cinta 1' was launched. They are waiting for the continuation of the story of Fahri and Aisha," he said, to Republika.co.id, Monday (30/11).

Syahruddin revealed, at the launch of 'Ayat-Ayat Cinta 2' novel in Bogor and Cianjur, many fans hoped that this novel could be filmed, just like other Kang Abik's novels, 'Ketika Cinta Bertasbih' 1 and 2, and 'Dalam Mihrab Cinta.'
'Insya Allah, I hope success achieved by Ayat-Ayat Cinta 1 novel can be transmitted to this novel," said Kang Abik.
Less than a week since its launch, 'Ayat-Ayat Cinta 2' novel has been sold more than 10 thousand copies.
