REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Ruhut Sitompul is not in new list of Democrat Party Board Members since September 2012. He is removed from his position as the head of the communication and informatics department.

Sitompul once claimed that the senior leader in the party who also Indonesian president, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, would reject any measure to remove him from the board. After the removal, Sitompul sits in the party as an ordinary member.

"Democratic Party reshuffled positions to revitalize the party and fill several empty positions," Deputy Secretary General of Democratic Party, Saan Mustopa, said on Friday.

Mustopa mentioned that Sitompul was replaced with another member, Nurul Komar. "Ruhut seems has a busy schedule outside the party," Mustopa said.

Mustopa explained that several positions in the Board were empty as the previous member left. Nazaruddin left his position as the chamberlain of Democratic Party Board due to graft case. So did Angelina Sondakh, the previous Deputy Secretary General.
