Alie suggests PUIC interfaith dialogue in Bali

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, 

RIYADH – The President of Parliament Union of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (PUIC), Marzuki Alie, suggests the interfaith and cultural dialogue in Bali, reported by Didi Purwadi from Republika in Saudi. “We want to hold interfaith dialogue to show Indonesian diversity,” Alie said in his meeting with Secretary General of Muslim World League, DR Abdullah bin Abdul Mohsin Al Turki, in Saudi Arabia on Monday.

Alie hopes PUIC and the Muslim World League can cooperate in realizing the plan. As a nation with the world’s biggest Muslim population, Indonesia is interested to cooperate with Muslim World League to share the Islamic values and unite Muslim around the globe.

“We hope the visit could strengthen the relationship between Indonesia with Muslim World League and Saudi Arabia,” Abdullah said. “We are ready to cooperate. It is important to share the Islamic values,” he added.
