REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The State Housing Company (Perum Perumnas) will likely receive an injection of funds after the State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Ministry proposed Rp2 trillion worth state capital injection (PMN) in the 2015 state budget draft (RAPBN-P).

"Perumnas is targeting to construct 400,588 houses until 2018," State-Owned Enterprises Minister Rini Soemarno stated here on Monday.

According to her, the PMN proposal is aimed to reduce the backlog of public housing and settlements for the people.

Perumnas requires funding in the early part of 2015 as the initial investment for building low-cost apartments (rusunami) and subsidized and non-subsidized flats, the minister noted.

The housing units comprise 232,848 vertical housing units and 167,740 flats. Perumnas is also striving to realize 366.3 hectares of land acquisition.

In 2014, the BUMN recorded an income of Rp1.368 trillion, with a net profit of Rp107.96 billion.

Based on the business plan that Perumnas will deliver to the BUMN Ministry and the House of Representatives' Commission VI, the company's 2018 income will reach Rp19.75 trillion, with net profit worth Rp1.64 trillion after receiving the PMN.

The business target is driven by the surge in cash flow and investment return and the increasing financing capacity in applying for loans from banks and other financial services.
