REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Spokesperson of Hizbut Tahrir Indonesia (HTI) Ismail Yusanto regretted government decission to dissolve the organization even if it will go through judicial process. He hoped government would stop such action as it could harm Islamic dakwah.
"HTI is a dakwah organization, conveying Islamic teaching to the society for goodness," Ismail said when contacted by Republika.co.id, on Monday.
About the khilafah, Ismail explained it was a general leadership for all Muslims in the world to practice Islam throughoughly and the development of Islamic dakwah to the whole world. The substancies of khilafah were ukhuwah (brotherhood), sharia and dakwah.
"All of it was Islamic teaching and it's all noble. We convey the teaching and hoped the ummah understand and implement it for goodness," he said.

The allegation of anti-state ideology Pancasila addressed to HTI was a political accusation without any basis, Ismail remarked. He suspected the dissolve of HTI as a sign of anti-Islam regime. Moreover, lately there were several cases of blasphemy and restriction of Islamic dakwah.
"If we are talking about substancy, there are many things that the government did against values of Pancasila, among other protecting the blasphemer, injustice in upholding the law and corruption. Was it in accordance with Pancasila?" Ismail said.
