REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA — The 13th Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia Ma'ruf Amin reminded various parties to oversee the establishment of the Sharia Economic Law. Including the Center for Sharia Economic Development (CSED) Indef, which was asked to participate in strengthening the roadmap.
“I gave some advice to CSED, to help develop some things. First, strengthening regulation and policy, that is, drawing up a national roadmap of the sharia economy,” said Ma'ruf who was present virtually at the 1st CSED Indef Milad Tasyakuran event at Paramadina University, Jakarta, Thursday (18/9/2025).
Kiai Ma'ruf stressed the need for harmonization of various stakeholders in the creation of Sharia Economic Law, including the Financial Services Authority (OJK), Bank Indonesia (BI), the Coordinating Ministry of Economic Affairs, the Ministry of Finance, and the Ministry of Religious Affairs. CSED as an institution focused on sharia economics also has a role in building the ecosystem of shariaeconomy.
It is known that at present the Draft Law (Bill) on Sharia Economy is still being tabled with parliament. “Later, we should strive to be able to become a single Sharia Economic Law that unites all existing rules, so that they become a single unity,” he said.
