REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, MAGELANG -- Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto looks over French President Emmanuel Macron, French First Lady Brigitte Macron, and son Didit Hediprasetyo riding in a boogey golf car together while heading to the top of Borobudur Temple, Magelang Regency, Thursday (29/5/2025). After reviewing the educational facilities at the Military Academy (Akmil) and having lunch, the two presidents and their entourage headed to Borobudur Temple, Central Java.
Upon arriving in the courtyard of Borobudur Temple, Prabowo and Macron got out of the black sedan they had ridden in together. The two took the opportunity to take pictures and shake hands together against the backdrop of Borobudur Temple, and then the compact Prabowo and Macron dressed in white shirts and sunglasses walked down the courtyard of Borobudur Temple.
As he was about to head to the top of Borobudur, Prabowo sitting in the driver's seat accompanied by Macron sitting next to him was seen chatting casually. Shortly afterwards, the President's sons, Didit Hediprasetyo, and Brigitte Macron followed, then sat behind Prabowo and Macron.
The boogey car was travelling towards the side direction of Borobudur which could not be seen by the media crew. Based on the information gathered, the Government has built a stair lift facility that was requested by the French government in the framework of Macron's official visit to Borobudur.
Prabowo and Macron also signed a friendship and cultural agreement at the summit of Borobudur. After that, both also provide statements related to the agreement or agreement.
In his speech, Prabowo said that Indonesia and France are two great nations with a long history, a deeply rooted culture, and a long civilization. “We also have the same spirit of the same human values of tolerance, respect for cultural heritage respect for all religions, beliefs, all races, all ethnic groups, we want to maintain a harmonious life of good peace,” Prabowo said.
He believes that only with family friendship and Indonesian-French collaboration can all have a better life. “Your Majesty thank you for your noble visit and I am confident and optimistic that our partnership will continue and be a bridge for the cultures, artists, creative industries and all public figures of our two countries, thank you. Merci beaucoup,” Prabowo said.
