REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BANDUNG -- PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia China (KCIC) managed to serve a total of 210,000 more passengers during the Lebaran Transit 2025 period from March 21 to April 2, 2025.
“During the holiday of Lebaran 2025, KCIC has sold more than 210 thousand Whoosh tickets to various destinations,” said KCIC General Manager Corporate Secretary Eva Chairunisa in Bandung City, West Java, Wednesday (2/4/2025).
Eva said that KCIC continues to be committed to delivering integrated transportation services, making customers' journeys from and to Whoosh Station even smoother.
“We are seeing a significant increase in passenger numbers, and intermoda is instrumental in facilitating their mobility from and towards Whoosh Station,” he said.
Eva explained that KCIC operates 62 regular trips per day. The transport capacity increased by 20 percent compared to Lebaran last year, which reached only 52 trips per day.
“With this increase in the number of trips, the daily seating capacity also increased to 37,262 seats, up from 31,252 seats per day last year,” Eva said.
He said that the capacity increase was carried out in anticipation of a surge in passenger numbers, especially on the favoured dates predicted to occur in the period after Lebaran. Therefore, people are urged to plan trips early and buy tickets online to make travel smoother and more comfortable.
Eva added that for the sake of smooth travel during the Lebaran holiday, passengers are encouraged to take advantage of the intermoda service available at each Whoosh Station to make the journey more comfortable and efficient.
“Be sure to choose the appropriate access and arrive at the station at least 30 minutes before the scheduled departure to avoid delays,” Eva said.
