REPUBLICA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- President Prabowo Subianto invites Indonesian tycoons to Jakarta Presidential Palace, Thursday (6/3/2025). Prabowo also discussed with them various current issues in Indonesia and the world.
There were a number of important points that Prabowo discussed with the eight entrepreneurs, one of which was about the acceleration of industrialization or downstream. In addition, Prabowo also stressed the importance of economic driving points, domestic investment, job openings, and self-sufficiency in money and energy.
Not to be forgotten, Prabowo and the businessman also discussed the presence of the Investment Management Agency (BPI) of Daya Anagata Nusantara (Danantara) to drive growth of eight percent. Among the major businessmen in attendance were Sugianto Kusuma aka Aguan, Boy Thohir, to Tomy Winata (TW).
During the meeting, President Prabowo was accompanied by Minister of State Secretary (Mensesneg) Prasetyo Hadi and Cabinet Secretary (Seskab) Teddy Indra Wijaya.
“Prabowo received the presence of eight major entrepreneurs in Indonesia with different business backgrounds, including Mr. Anthony Salim, Mr. Sugianto Kusuma, Mr. Prajogo Pangestu, Mr. Boy Thohir, Mr. Franky Widjaja, Mr. Dato Sri Tahir, Mr. James Riady, and Mr. Tomy Winata,” the Cabinet Secretariat account quoted by Republika.co.id in Jakarta, Thursday.
On that occasion, Prabowo also discussed with the snapper entrepreneurs about his government's flagship program, Free Nutritious Eating (MBG). The government has allocated Rp 71 trillion in funding this year, targeting 82.9 million beneficiaries by the end of 2025.
“On this occasion, the President discussed the latest developments in the country and the global world, as well as the main programs that are being implemented by the government, including the Free Nutritious Eating program, infrastructure, textile industry, food and energy self-sufficiency, industrialization, to the Danantara Investment Management Agency,” said Seskab Teddy Indra Wijaya.
President Prabowo also thanked the entrepreneurs for the support of the program felt by the general public.
“In an atmosphere of heated discussion, President Prabowo expressed appreciation for the support given by businessmen to various government policies and programs, especially those concerning the interests and welfare of the people,” Setkab's account said.
