Prabowo-Gibran Inauguration, Erick Thohir: Congratulations on Leading Indonesia to Become a Developed Country

SOE Minister Erick Thohir attended the plenary session of the MPR with the inauguration agenda of the President and Vice President for the period 2024-2029 at Nusantara Building, Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Sunday (20/10/2024). Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka officially serve as president and vice president for the period 2024-2029 replacing president and vice president for the 2019-2024 period Joko Widodo and Maruf Amin.

“Congratulations on leading Indonesia into a developed country Mr. President General TNI (Purn) H Prabowo Subianto and Mr. Vice President Gibran Rakabuming,” Erick wrote.

Erick appeared to be present at the inauguration of President Prabowo and Vice President Gibran at Nusantara Building, DPR/MPR, Jakarta. Erick sat parallel to Indonesian Republic Police Chief (Kapolri) General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, Attorney-General ST Burhanuddin, Interior Minister (Mendagri) Muhammad Tito Karnavian, and Chairman of Bawaslu RI Rahmat Bagja.

Prabowo and Gibran's inauguration procession went smoothly and solemnly. Speaker of the People's Consultative Assembly (MPR) Ahmad Muzani said Indonesia was casting a golden ink in the history of the nation's travel by carrying out the inauguration of the president and vice president as the result of the choice of the Indonesian people.

“The elections we have held have been successful, and we have watched democracy work together, and that is a gift that we deserve to be grateful for,” Muzani said in remarks at the plenary session of the inauguration of President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka at the Nusantara Building, DPR and MPR, Jakarta, Sunday (20/10/2024).

Muzani believes Indonesians in all corners of the homeland, from Sabang to Merauke, from Miangas to Rote Island, even around the world, are currently watching the presidential and vice presidential inauguration processions. Muzani said the Indonesian nation will start a new chapter in the life of government and statehood.

“On behalf of the leadership and assembly members, as well as the entire Indonesian people, we congratulate Mr. Prabowo Subianto and Mr. Gibran Rakabuming Raka who have gained the confidence of the Indonesian people as President and Vice President of Indonesia to carry out the mandate of the people, nation, and country for the next five years,” Muzani said.
